ABOUT THE POSITION

Ek & Borg Productions is a young developing company behind the popular podcast Spöktimmen. The podcast has taken Sweden by storm and is now Sweden's largest female true crime podcast with over 400 episodes and 90 million listens. The podcast is run by journalists Jenny Borg and Linn Ek and has won several awards, including the Guldörat for Podcast of the Year. The office currently consists of about six other employees and is centrally located in Stockholm with bright and fresh premises.

In the role of Editor, you will play a key role in the success of Spöktimmen. You will edit and cut episodes for the podcast as well as create moving material such as trailers and short videos for social media channels. We are currently looking for two Editors who will work closely together. Together you will plan and execute the editing of podcast episodes and content for social media, as well as contribute ideas and feedback to constantly improve the material.

This position is a project employment running until mid-July.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Duties

In the role of Editor at Ek & Borg Productions, you will work on editing both audio and moving material:

When it comes to audio, you will edit and cut episodes for Spöktimmen. This includes removing distracting sounds and unwanted elements as well as adding sound effects, jingles, and background music as needed. For guest episodes, this also means cutting down interviews and restructuring the material in a way that enhances storytelling and engages the listener.
When it comes to moving material, you will create and edit trailers and short clips for social media channels, such as Instagram and TikTok.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Has a relevant post-secondary education, for example in audio and moving material or journalism.
Has previous experience working with editing podcasts and/or audio files. If you have worked with video editing, that is a big plus.
Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.

It is an advantage if you have experience with Adobe Audition or Adobe Premiere.
